What is Lomi Lomi?
Lomi Lomi is an ancient Hawaiian massage technique that promotes holistic healing.
This lomi lomi style of la'au 'iwi (bone setting) focuses on aligning the skeletal system while addressing spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
Lomi Lomi utilizes deep-tissue techniques, cross-fiber friction, acupressure, myofascial release, and abdominal manipulation to enhance overall health.
By bringing awareness to the emotional roots of physical ailments, lomi lomi massage helps to release tension and align the body, mind and spirit.
Meet Mike Harada
Born in Silicon Valley to Japanese and Chinese ancestry, Mike was influenced by his Hawaiian-Japanese father's culture and his entrepreneurial Chinese mother's family. In 2011, Mike earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University. His discovery of massage therapy came soon after, sparked by an inspiring holistic medicine class taught by Walter Orion, LMFT, CA. After honing his skills in various settings, he studied the ancient Hawaiian practice of Lomi Lomi A'e (walking) under Kapono Souza and learned La'au 'iwi (bone setting) from Kevin Kishida on Oahu starting in the Fall of 2020. Now based in Mokulē'ia, Hawaii, Mike blends traditional la'au 'iwi with techniques like fire cupping and reflexology, bringing twelve years of massage therapy experience into his practice.Book an Appointment
